Our handcraft ladies are a very busy little group! They meet every Thursday from 10:00am – 1:00pm at the back of the Hospital cafeteria. On these days, they turn in their handmade items and pick out supplies for their next projects. The rest of the week, they work at home.

Some of these ladies work 40 hours a week doing this! We have knitters, crocheters, sewers and quilters. On Thursdays, there is always a quilt on a frame with 4 ladies doing hand quilting.

Handcrafts supplies the Gift Shop with a continuous supply of adult sweaters and vests and baby wear. They also make quilts, afghans, shopping bags, slippers, table runners, placemats and any other items the Gift Shop requests.

Just like our Economy Shop, the Handcraft ladies rely mostly on donations and use only new and unused supplies. If you have wool, fabric, notions, etc. which you would like to donate to Handcrafts, you are more than welcome to drop these items off at Handcrafts on Thursdays between 10:00am and 1:00pm, or you can leave donations at the Hospital Gift Shop in a bag addressed to the Handcraft ladies.
